Cristiano Ronaldo Tests Positive For COVIDq9 Again, Might Miss Clash With Barca
For the second time, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.
The Juventus star was first hospitalized with the illness earlier in the month while on duty in Portugal. Football is still viral, though, nine days after the first positive examination.
According to the Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha, on Thursday, October 22, Ronaldo’s most recent findings were positive again.
Despite returning positive, the publication says Ronaldo ‘s test gave a very low viral load, with Juventus also hoping he could recover in time to play in the Champions League game.
It is likely that the club will ask UEFA for permission to test Ronaldo 48 hours before the October 28 clash.
It will be up to the European Football Authority to determine whether or not to allow such a request to continue and, at least one week before the match, a player must screen negative to be eligible for selection in compliance with the UEFA Protocol.
